Alleluia! We're open again!

Book Group

The group, which began during lockdown in 2020, has enjoyed discussing such diverse books as 'The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry' by Rachel Joyce, 'Dare to be a Daniel' a memoir by Tony Benn, and 'Let us Dream' by Pope Francis.

Our next meeting will be at 8pm on Tuesday 9 November when everyone is invited to come and listen to William Wood, a member of our church community, talk about his new novel "Fate & Faith" set in wartime Europe. Ask about how he came to write it, and join with us in discussing the big human and religious issues underlying a very human story.

Breath is the name, always mispronounced (we should really change the name!), for a 20-50s group which meets fortnightly at 8pm for about 90 minutes. We tend to alternate between a beginners level study of the Bible and a social evening of varied descriptions.

The choir is affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music.  New members of all ages and abilities are always welcome: our weekly practice is on Monday evenings in Christ Church, from 7.15 to 8.30 pm for adults. For further information please contact our Director of Music, Stuart Whatton
