Alleluia! We're open again!

Bellringing at Christ Church

Christ Church has a peal of eight bells, which are regularly rung by a small but dedicated group of bellringers for a whole host of occasions; calling us to worship, weddings, funerals and civic celebrations.

They practice on Wednesday's at Christ Church between 7.45pm and 9pm, and would always welcome newcomers - you do not have to be physically strong.

If you are interested please contact the Tower Captains - Jennifer Meade on 01372 463129 or Ann Battensby on 07971 090116.

All ringers/visitors over 16 must be double jabbed.

When signing in at the bottom of the stairs, hands must be sanitised.

Maximum number of people in the tower is 12.

Visitors should check in advance before arriving in order to avoid being turned away if numbers are too high.

Both windows in the tower and the door will remain open throughout the practice (it might be chilly so bring a sweater).

There will be hand sanitiser available in the ringing room for those who wish to use it when changing ropes.

Those not ringing should sit as far apart as feasible.

Anyone wishing to wear a mask is welcome to do so.

If you are displaying any Covid symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has Covid then Government regulations re self isolation apply.
